The Wine: Domaine Jacky Marteau is a family estate in Touraine making lively, approachable Loire wines with real freshness and charm. Lulu Crémant de Loire is made from hand-harvested fruit grown on flinty clay soils, with very gentle whole-cluster pressing, primary fermentation in stainless steel, secondary fermentation in bottle, a minimum of 20 months on the lees, and just a whisper of dosage to keep everything in balance.
Domaine Jacky Marteau Lulu Crémant de Loire is a bright, mineral, quietly generous sparkler. It opens with aromas of pear, lemon, and white flowers, lifted by a chalky, lightly savory edge. On the palate, it is crisp and finely textured, with juicy fruit, fresh acidity, and a dry finish that stays stony and light on its feet.
