The Wine: Landmass is a women-owned, women-run producer in the Columbia Gorge, with a real gift for sparkling wine, making bottles that feel both polished and full of energy. Heavy Glow is sourced from high-elevation fruit grown on Underwood Mountain, between roughly 1,400 and 1,800 feet, with a blend of 34% Pinot Noir fermented in stainless steel and 48% Chardonnay plus 18% Pinot Gris raised in neutral French oak.
2024 Landmass Heavy Glow Sparkling Rosé is a bright, mountain-grown expression of the Gorge, combining orchard fruit, fine mineral lift, and a gentle touch of pastry richness in a style that feels lively and easygoing. It opens with aromas of honeydew melon, pear, and vanilla biscuit, lifted by bright minerality. On the palate, it is crisp and finely moussed, with juicy fruit, fresh acidity, and a clean finish with a hint of strawberry vinaigrette.
Pairing: Smoked salmon dip, sesame noodles, a shaved snap pea salad, or grocery store sushi. Reminder to use caution when consuming raw foods!
